Starting over sucks.

When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring.... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

And then he opened his mouth

Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something...unexpected happens.

The hot alien living next door marks me.

You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon's touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.

I started reading this book because a friend recommended it to me.  It was amazing! It has a really good beginning and keeps you entertain throughout the whole book. Personally, I couldn’t put the book down and I'm sure you won't be able to either.

We first meet Katy when she moves to West Virginia.  In need of directions, she goes to the house next door. That is when she meets her mysterious next door neighbor.  Not only is he a total douche, he's also hiding a secret.  One day Katy was attacked and Daemon was obligated to save her. Katy than discovers the huge secret behind Daemon Black-- He and his sister are aliens. That secret has put Katy in danger, but she will do everything in her power to protect the very same secret.

The relationship between Katy and Daemon has to be my favorite thing about this whole story.  In the beginning they can’t stand to be with each other and are always bickering, but when trouble arises they work together to find a middle ground. Katy soon finds out that you don’t choose who you fall in love with - that even bad guys have a heart too.

The story keeps you guessing until the very end. I wanted to know what was going to happen next.  What is Daemon up to? How will Katy react? It's a fantastic story and the fact that I read it in three days just proves that it is an amazing read. I love how Armentrout not only ties together and incredible love/hate relationship between Katy & Daemon, but she also gives you an action packed story with a hint of drama and comedy. Obsidian is an amazing book that is worthy to be in any bookshelf.  I have read the rest of the series and let me tell you, it is all types of awesome! I highly recommend reading anything by Jennifer Armentrout.
