I was never supposed to be a rock star. I had my life all planned out for me. Play football in college. Go to the NFL. Marry my high school sweetheart and live happily ever after.
I broke both our hearts that day when I told her I was leaving. I was young. I made the right decision for me, but the wrong decision for us. I’ve poured my soul into my music, but I’ve never forgotten her. Her smell, her smile. And now I’m going back. After ten years. I hope I can explain that after all this time. I still want her to be my forever girl.
4.5
When I bought Forever My Girl, I didn’t really know what I was getting into other
than it was a contemporary romance; but Forever
My Girl, isn’t like all the contemporary romances that I have read
recently. It wasn’t your typical multimillionaire
falling in love with poor innocent female protagonist, and that is a
relief. There is so much more! Needless to say, this was an amazingly, fun
and light read.
Liam and Josie were the typical high
school sweethearts. Liam was the great
football player with a great football career ahead of him and Josie, the sweet
and cute cheerleader who was always cheering for her man at every game. But that all changed when they graduated high
school and went off to college. Liam
broke it off with Josie and didn’t return to Beaumont until ten years later
when his best friend passes away. Things
aren’t the way they were when he left ten years ago; his high school sweetheart
is engaged and his best friend is dead.
But not everything has changed.
Beaumont is still the small town he remembers, including the famous
hangout spot at the water tower. Will Liam’s
trip back to his old life change his rock star life forever?
I absolutely love this book. It has all the hot elements and it is
realistic and believable, which totally hooked me from the very beginning. I love how we get to hear from both Liam and
Josie’s POVs. It wasn’t hard to follow
at all, on the contrary, it actually made the story light up because we got to
hear from both main character. Book two, My Unexpected Forever, is coming out
on September 2, 2013, and I was lucky enough to be part of the tour. Stay tuned for that review! I totally recommend this book!
I totally recommend this
book! I also want to congratulate Heidi because Forever My Girl has been
optioned off for a movie!! I am so thrilled for her and I cant wait to
see who gets casts for these awesome characters!
