DeleteGreat list, some very disturbing covers there. I've not seen the cover for Hollow City before, so thanks! I was way too scared to do creepy book covers, I'm sure I would not sleep for a week. I did some mostly-not-too-scary-but-witchy-stroke-supernatural books instead.

DeleteNice selection of creepy covers. I somewhat agree with the IT cover, though more because clowns in general kind of creep me out than that one being truly scary ha ha. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

ReplyDeleteAly @ My Heart Hearts Books
You guys all have good picks!! I really like the cover of A Certain Slant of Light. It's definitely scary looking. And I'm glad to see IT on your list bc clowns really are the scariest things out there.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by My TTT
Definitely all really creepy! When I picked the cover of It to go on my list, I actually couldn't pick Ana's version...it freaked me out too much!!
ReplyDeleteWe have The Replacements in common. Stephen King is the king of creepy indeed!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!
Gracious alive! Now those are scary!

We have the Dead House of Maids in common, great picks.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping and comminting on our blog =)
Nice list, The Replacement made my list to.
ReplyDeleteWow some of those are super creepy! But there's something about It that makes it the spookiest, hands down.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love these! Looks like we have a lot of overlap too. :) I'd forgotten about A Certain Slant of Light -- definitely high on the creepy list! And The House of Dead Maids looks sooo frightening. Great choices!
ReplyDeleteLisa
Great books ladies!
ReplyDeleteMeep, The House of Dead Maids will haunt me for the rest of my life.
ReplyDeleteRoxy @ Story Envy
The House of Dead Maids cover is super creepy, and so is the A Certain Slant of Light cover - I'm not sure what it is about a girl lying in a dirty bathtub that makes it so spooky!
ReplyDeleteThose are great scary book covers! I haven't read any of them except for Anna Dressed in Blood, which was very good, although I have read Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, the prequel to Hollow City. Miss Peregrine's also has a good cover, very similar.
ReplyDeleteDenise @ Life With No Plot
Thanks for stopping by my blog!! This is a great list. Carrie was on mine too!
ReplyDeletewoah, number 10 S C A R Y!
ReplyDeletethose are some pretty scary covers, thanks for stopping by today. kelley—the road goes ever ever on
ReplyDeleteThat House of Dead Maids cover is TERRIFYING. I don't think I'd be able to have it in the same room as me...
ReplyDeleteI love the Miss Peregrine's covers - I have the first book and wanted to include it in my list but didn't have enough space in the end! It's funny, but it wasn't until I saw them on people's lists and one blogger pointed out that on the first book, the girl is floating over the ground, that I even noticed that detail! The girl with the hole in her chest is a bit harder to miss. ;)
ReplyDeleteAhhh Carrie. There are to many King covers floating around today now I want to re-read them all.
ReplyDeleteOh man, these are some good ones! Anything by Stephen King is a given and so is anything featuring clowns and/or creepy children. I have Pride & Prejudice & Zombies and love the zombified cover. I think I'd have to add a lot of R.L. Stine's books (because they're pretty scary for children's books) as well as Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark.
ReplyDeleteI love that cover on Anna... its so creepy but still kinda pretty. Great list!
ReplyDeleteTeresa @ Readers Live A Thousand Lives
*Sees IT and runs away screaming* I loathe that book and that movie and clowns and why Stephen King whyyyyyyyyy!
ReplyDeleteI almost went with The House of Dead Maids. That is very disturbing. Of course, It is on my, and just about everyone else's lists, too!
ReplyDeleteStephanie @ Inspiring Insomnia
We do have a lot of the same picks! Asylum looks super freaky too! Great choices!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by ParaDays!
Yeah, the cover of IT is scary-making! And HOUSE OF DEAD MAIDS made my list too - it's those dark eyes! Eeeeek! Great list!
