Have you ever gone just a little too far?

Lexie Banks has.
Yep. She just had mind-blowing sex with her stepbrother. In her defense, she was on the rebound, and it’s more of a my-dad-happened-to-marry-a-woman-with-a-super-hot-son situation. But still, he’s been her best friend and confidant for the better part of the last few years … and is so off limits. It’s a good thing she’s leaving in two days for a year abroad in Rome.
But even thousands of miles away, Lexie can’t seem to escape trouble. Raised Catholic, she goes to confession in hopes of alleviating some of her guilt … and maybe not burning in hell. Instead, she stumbles out of the confessional and right into Alessandro Moretti, a young and very easy-on-the-eyes deacon … only eight months away from becoming a priest. Lexie and Alessandro grow closer, and when Alessandro’s signals start changing despite his vow of celibacy, she doesn’t know what to think. She’s torn between falling in love with the man she shouldn’t want and the man she can’t have. And she isn’t sure how she can live with herself either way.
I decided to read A Little Too Far because a lot of my friends have been raving about it, and boy am I glad I read it.  This is my first book by Lisa and I am positive that it won’t be my last! She brings sexiness to a whole new level.  I will admit that I was a little iffy about reading it because of the whole taboo thing, but after reading it, I realize that it was so much more than that.  Loved it!

Lexie is on her way to Italy to study art history abroad.  How lucky is she!  Everything is great in her life until one day she and her half brother (his mother married her father) Trent, sleep together.  Yeah, pretty life altering don’t you think?  Let me tell you, that scene was HOT!  Yeah I know, it’s gross, but they are not blood related and there is a lot more to it, but you will have to read the book in order to completely understand.  So now, it’s sort of awkward being around each other because they did the unthinkable.  Luckily for them, Lexie is leaving to Italy in a couple of days and won’t have to see Trent until she comes back for Winter break.  Maybe a little distance and time between them is all they need to forget about what happened and they can go back to being each other’s best friend.  Maybe.  Then Lexie meets Alessandro and everything changes.  Alessandro is Italian, but lived in the U.S. for a few years until he and his brother went to live with their grandparents in France.  Immediately there is an attraction between he and Lexie, but there is one problem, one HUGE problem, Alessandro is a reverend and is to be ordained as a Catholic priest in a few months.  Yeah, talk about poor Lexie.  This girl can’t catch a break.  Alessandro is every bit of a gentleman and immediately they become friends. I love how Lisa builds the relationship between Lexie and Alessandro.  You feel and see every little look they give each other and I even felt little butterflies every time.  So now, Lexie finds herself in a love triangle and believe me, both of these guys are hot, but I will admit that Alessandro is my favorite ;)  So which shall Lexie choose?  Each is forbidden, but sin has never been this good!

I am totally in love with this book.  I cannot wait to read A Little Too Much which is scheduled to release on November 12th.  Keep an eye out for that review coming soon too.  So, what are you waiting for, go and GET IT!!  I promise you will fall in love with it just as much as I did.
