This investigation is getting very personal...
P.I.-in-training Valerie LeRoy is dying to get into the field. So when a client asks her to spy on someone, the thrill of her own case is too tempting to refuse. Instead of a cheating fiance, however, Val's actually checking out P.I. Drake Morgan! Worse, she ends up working with the guy!
Their differing opinions on techniques, and the instant attraction, make the sparks fly. It's almost impossible to focus on their arson investigation. As the hunt for the truth intensifies and their passion rivals the triple-digit temperature, she and Drake learn why Las Vegas is the city that never sleeps...
It’s been a while since I’ve read a good romance/mystery
book. Sleepless In Las Vegas was a great
way to go back and reminisce about one of my favorite genres. It has funny and hot and also had some great
characters!
Val, a Katrina New Orleans survivor has decided to move to
Las Vegas and become a private investigator.
She starts to intern for one of Las Vegas’ top investigator. But Val, wants to do more then sit behind a
desk and answer the phone. So, when a soon-to-be-wife
comes looking to set up her fiancée because she thinks he is cheating, Val sees
her big shot, plus, she could really use the money. Little does Val know that the “fiancée” she
is spying on isn’t who she thinks he is and he actually turns out to be her
boss! “Val really cracked me up with her
New Orleans accent and her southern girl charm.
I really loved her character. She was feisty, but always a lady, A true
southern gal.
Oh Mr. Drake Morgan. *sighs* You are just perfect. I love how he loves his family and his
dog. A man whose top priorities are his
family is a man to keep! Plus, he’s a huge
dog lover and that gives him extra brownie points. From the moment that Val and Drake meet, I
could feel the chemistry between them. Either of them want to admit it, but
that connection is undeniable.
If you are a sucker for romance and mystery books, you HAVE
to read Sleepless In Las Vegas. This is
my first book from Colleen Collins and I will be sure to check out some more of
her books. Great read!
