The Year of Souls begins with an earthquake—an alarming rumble from deep within the earth—and it’s only the first of greater dangers to come. The Range caldera is preparing to erupt. Ana knows that as Soul Night approaches, everything near Heart will be at risk.

Ana’s exile is frightening, but it may also be fortuitous, especially if she can convince her friends to flee Heart and Range with her. They’ll go north, seeking answers and allies to stop Janan’s ascension. And with any luck, the newsouls will be safe from harm’s reach.

The oldsouls might have forgotten the choice they made to give themselves limitless lifetimes, but Ana knows the true cost of reincarnation. What she doesn’t know is whether she’ll have the chance to finish this one sweet life with Sam, especially if she returns to Heart to stop Janan once and for all.

With gorgeous romance and thrilling action, the final book in the Incarnate trilogy offers a brilliant conclusion to the compelling questions of this fascinating world, where one new girl is the key to the lives of millions.

When I got my hands on this beauty, I jumped, danced and squealed like a mad person. Once I was done with the book I was crying like a big baby, of happiness of course. You see, it’s not always easy for me to finish trilogies. It makes me sad to say goodbye to my favorite characters and see them move on. Jodi Meadows couldn't have chosen a better way to end this series. Ana and Sam will always hold a special place in my heart.

Infinite picks up right after Asunder. We continue to see Ana on her journey to stop Janan and save all the citizens of Heart. I am very proud of how much Ana has grown. Her character developed so much during the course of the story; she is much stronger now. I absolutely love Ana & Sam’s relationship; it’s breathtaking and adorable. They have so much love for one another; it was painful for me to see when they had bad moments.

Like I said before when I read Incarnate, the whole premise of the book is really interesting. I caught myself wondering and questioning life after death, like what if. But this story was more that, it is about love and sacrifice and the things that you would do for the ones that you love the most.

This for me was the perfect ending for this series, Ok, I still have a few questions here and there but I would like to leave those to the imagination. This book gives answers and a sense of closure that was needed for all the characters. The world building is amazing like in all of Jodi Meadows’s books.

I loved it from beginning to end and I’m pretty sure that every fan is going to be happy with it. If you haven't read this trilogy yet, I think it is time for you to start. Happy reading!

Q. When did you knew you wanted to be an author?

A. In seventh grade, when my English teacher was reading WAIT TILL HELEN COMES (Mary Downing Hahn) to the class. I'd always loved telling stories, and I don't know what it was about this book that changed the way I saw them, but something about it made me realize that people told stories. People had writing as a legitimate job.

Once I realized that writing books was a valid career choice, I didn't want to be anything else.

Q. What is one thing you can't live without?

A. Water. I would go crazy within hours. And die within days.

Q. Give me four words words to describe yourself.

A. Writer, ferret-herder, yarner, prettysillymostofthetime.

Q. How did you felt when you finished writing Infinite, knowing that it was the end of the New Souls series?

A. I felt really, really sad. I knew I had to write the end, of course! And I knew it was the right end. But it's hard saying good-bye. (It turned out not to be the last time I'd write in that world, though. A few months later, I was asked to write Phoenix Overture.)

Q. Would you ever consider writing a spin-off or maybe another novella from a different character POV? Besides Ana or Sam.

A. I don't have the stories to tell in a spin-off novel or series or novella. I mean, I could find stories, but they wouldn't be necessary parts of the story I wanted to tell. I had one tale in mind -- Ana's -- and everything in the trilogy (and even novella) is about her story. Anything else would just be gratuitous.

Then again, I shouldn't say I'll never write in this world again, since I haven't mastered the art of seeing into the future yet. It just seems unlikely. There are lots and lots of other stories I want to tell.

Q. What was the hardest part of writing your last book (Infinite) ?

A. Trying to wrap everything up, wondering if people would think it's too neat, or leaves too many questions, or whatever. Ultimately, though, I reminded myself that this is my book, and I get to end it the way I want -- the way that feels right to me.

Q. If you could be a character in your novel or any other novel, who would you be and why?

A. I definitely wouldn't want to be a main character in my novels! It's hard in there!

But maybe a side character who never gets into any trouble. That sounds easy.

Q. Do you go out of your way to kill bugs? Or they make you screech and hide? (I had to ask this!)

A. I don't go out of my way, no. If they're in the ferret room, I call my husband to take care of them for me. (Whatever he does with them is his own business.) But when I see them on my own, I usually try to let them outside. (Unless they're harmful bugs or flies.)

Q. What is your favorite quote?

A. Of all time??? Gosh, that is impossible. I have too many. But of course, there is "For God so loved the world he gave his only son . . ." John 3:16

Q. What project are you working on now?

A. I'm working on my next series, a duology beginning with THE ORPHAN QUEEN. It's coming from Katherine Tegen/HarperCollins in Winter 2015. :)
