Cally…
A sexy smile. Intense blue eyes. A goodness that makes him want to save me from these rumors when no one else would care. I didn't ask for a hero. William Bailey was never supposed to be anything more than a wish, a dream, an unrequited crush. Not for a girl like me--a girl whose fractured family has stolen her chance at a decent life.William…Since the death of my parents, I've always done what’s expected of me, what's "best" for me. Until Cally. The moment her haunted eyes meet mine, the fractured pieces of my heart feel whole again. I don’t just want to save her. I need her to save me.Stolen chances. Unbroken wishes. Two lonely souls grasping for hope in the darkness.**This novella takes place seven years before the events in WISH I MAY and shows William and Cally falling in love for the first time. It can be read before or after WISH I MAY or on its own.****Contains sexual content and adult language and situations. Intended for mature readers.**
Loved it! I love William and Cally, I love the way that this novella made me feel. It is full of feels, romance and love. Lexi Ryan writes with so much sentiment that is not hard for the reader to feel connected with the characters. I wish this would have been a full length book because at the end I was waiting for more.
This is the story of William and Cally before Wish I May. The story about their beautiful and powerful young love. Cally was always tormented and bullied at school because of her mom’s history, which is not good. I couldn't help but to feel bad about how she was being treated and talked about, but she is strong. She always held her head high.
William, my shiny knight in shining armor. This guy is too perfect. He makes my knees feel like jello and my heart do somersaults inside my chest. He is sexy and handsome. One of the aspects that I loved about him is that he was always protecting Cally. The things that he says and the things that he does are too swoony. Where can I find one like him?
The novella is short, fun and full of passion. It gives the reader a lot of details to get to know the characters. It’s sexy and romantic. I was left wishing for more, I really enjoyed it. I would recommend it to everyone! Go read it, now! I am going to stay here dreaming of William *sigh*.
Here are a few questions that the super nice Lexi Ryan answered for us. Enjoy!
Q. What is one thing you can’t live without?
"Hello, my name is Lexi and I over-analyze everything."
But...um...hmm..it's a toss up between coffee and chocolate today.
Q. When did you know you wanted to be an author?A: Second grade. I'm not kidding. I'm one of those people.
Q. Give me four words to describe yourself.A: Determined, passionate, dedicated, and lucky as hell (yeah, that's one word)
Q. Are the characters in your book (William & Cally) based in anyone that you know?A: Nope. I never base characters on people I know. That would be too weird. :) That said, there are shades of real people's experiences in all my books. In this case, I've certainly known people who've had to make decisions that weren't really decisions at all. Maybe not as horrifying as Cally's, but still...it's all relative.
Q. What is you motto when you are writing a book?A: "You can fix it later." (And I do. I love revisions. Maybe too much.)
