* * Top Ten Tuesdays (TTT) is a weekly event hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. * *
Today we are going to be talking about Top Ten Top Ten All Time Favorite Books in X Genre. We are choosing to go with two different genres, Contemporary and New Adult. We read a wide variety of genres and we just couldn't go with just one. Enjoy!
1. Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover - this was my first book by Colleen and it will forever be in my heart, it is perfect in every way. I fell in love with the characters from the very start.
2. Wait For You by J. Lynn - One word, Cam!!!! How could I not love this book. He was my first NA book boyfriend.

3. Wallbanger by Alice Clayton - You need this book in your life like yesterday! It has yet to top any other NA I've read. It literally gets you all hot and bothered yet makes you laugh out loud. It's a perfect balance of everything. If this isn't at the top of your TBR pile I highly recommend moving it up!
4. Finding It by Cora Carmack - I'm sorry but I just can't pass up this book. I honestly don't have to say anything because if you've read Cora's previous books than you understand how amazing they are. Please do yourself a favor and pick up the Losing It series. Fantastic writing with equally amazing characters.

5. Trust In Me by J. Lynn - I absolutely adore Cam! When I found out about this novella, I went crazy. The whole book is from Cam's POV! I love that guy and to get a glimpse on what was going on in his head and how he saw the story was really refreshing.
6. If I Stay by Gayle Forman - *sighs* Gayle Forman is what readers might call an emotional terrorist. If you have read this book I think you have to agree with me that this is a tearjerker. I love every part of this story, I cried and laugh. At the end I was a mess of emotions and I don't regret reading this book. Its beautiful and full of love. One of my favorite contemporary reads of all times.
How do I even begin to describe my love for these books?
7. Addicted To You by Krista & Becca Ritchie - I was recommended Addicted To You awhile back and I thought nothing of it. So this year I finally gave in and read it. No lie, it took me like 3 or 4 days to read the books that were already out for the Addicted series. That's how good they are. It has everything I could ever want in a story, love, pain, laughs, drama, real life situations that some people go through. I hope more people read ATY so we can talk about it and fangirl about all the guys.
8. Going To Far by Jennifer Echols - I read, re-read and re-read (you get the picture) Going Too Far 3 years ago and to this day I still think about it. Without a doubt, my favorite Jennifer Echols book. Even though I was never in a situation like the main character was, I really connected with her. I think that's what I love most about contemporary novels, we are able to connect with the character's because of how raw and real everything is.

10 . The Fault in Our Stars by John Green - This book destroyed me, in a good way. The characters, the plot, it was all so perfectly written that I found myself sobbing at times. I can't wait for this book's movie to come out already.
Nice! Those books are fairly all new to me! Heard of some, haven't read any though!

Have a GREAT day!

The only one of these I've read was If I Stay, and I hated it. I thought it was extremely boring and I couldn't emotionally connect with any of the characters. But I know I'm in the minority there!
ReplyDeleteI guess I'm not a huge fan of contemporary novels. I've read a few... Most of the ones I've enjoyed seem to be written in verse. I like Lisa Schroeder's books, for example. Though, my most recent read (Stolen by Lucy Christopher) was contemporary and not in verse... and I really liked it.
Nice list - Loved Going too Far and Anna and the French Kiss!
ReplyDeleteI read Wallbanger last week and loved it! It's one of those books that make you giddy reading it :)

I've been wanting to read If I Stay -- I read (and loved) Just One Day and Just One Year by Gayle Forman, and have heard such good things about her other books! The only others here that I've read are Anna and the French Kiss and The Fault in Our Stars -- both so good! Great choices. :)
