When tragedy strikes Michele Windsor’s world, she is forced to uproot her life and move across the country to New York City, to live with the wealthy, aristocratic grandparents she’s never met. In their old Fifth Avenue mansion filled with a century’s worth of family secrets, Michele discovers a diary that hurtles her back in time to the year 1910. There, in the midst of the glamorous Gilded Age, Michele meets the young man with striking blue eyes who has haunted her dreams all her life – a man she always wished was real, but never imagined could actually exist. And she finds herself falling for him, into an otherworldly, time-crossed romance.

Michele is soon leading a double life, struggling to balance her contemporary high school world with her escapes into the past. But when she stumbles upon a terrible discovery, she is propelled on a race through history to save the boy she loves – a quest that will determine the fate of both of their lives.
I got this book on a sale that Book Outlet was having. I went to Goodreads and added to my list without even reading the synopsis. Now, when I received my books this one the second one that I read out of the whole pile (they were on SALE, you can never resist to that). I absolutely love and adore it! This book got my brain wrapped up since the first page, there were moment that I did not want it to be bothered because I was so emerged reading (*giggles*).

Michele Windsor, the protagonist of the novel, live a normal life with her mother. She loves her mother and friends, and she loves her lifestyle. She does not know her father, he abandoned her mother before she was born. After tragedy happens to Michele’s family, she is forced to move with her grandparents to New York. She has never seen her grandparents before and she does not know what to expect from them. Her grandparents are really rich and they live in this huge mansion or should I call it castle (thats what sound like in Michele’s description when she arrives at the house).

I won't say too much about the plot, because I can't seem to find a way to describe the story without giving any spoilers but to keep it short this is a story about a Michele, a girl that finds a way to travel through time. Michele finds true love in between the layers of time and also to help her ancestors find their way. She would give anything for the people she loves to be happy, she is destined not to change the course of things but to create it.

Now, the story is really interesting and captivating, well written and give enough details for you to understand what is going on. Michele, the main character, she is really sweet. It was fantastic love story that has no limits, a time-travel story with so many twists.

This is a beautiful love story. This book was ‘love at first page’ and now can not wait for the sequel to come out to know what happen next. So ummm, yes , this is a great love story beautifully written, with strong characters that you got to love, a story so full of surprises and twists that in the end just made me want more.
