How do you stop an epidemic?
Sloane and James are on the run after barely surviving the suicide epidemic and The Program. But they’re not out of danger. Huge pieces of their memories are still missing, and although Sloane and James have found their way back to each other, The Program isn’t ready to let them go.
Escaping with a group of troubled rebels, Sloane and James will have to figure out who they can trust, and how to take down The Program. But for as far as they’ve come, there’s still a lot Sloane and James can’t remember. The key to unlocking their past lies with the Treatment—a pill that can bring back forgotten memories, but at a high cost. And there’s only one dose.
Ultimately when the stakes are at their highest, can Sloane and James survive the many lies and secrets surrounding them, or will The Program claim them in the end?

 * * If you haven't read The Program yet, these reviews might spoil the book for you * *
The Treatment picks up right where The Program left off, with Sloane and James on the run.  They join a group of rebels and together try to stay hidden and away from The Program.  Pretty hard to do when The Program have eyes and ears everywhere and not knowing who you can and can't trust, must be terrifying. We get to meet a few new characters in The Treatment. One in particular, I didn't like at first, but then she worked her way to my heart.  Another character, I wanted to straight out punch in the face because he got me so mad.  Believe me, you will too. "why, WHY?!"

It's pretty amazing when you are reading a book and you feel so connected with its characters.  I can feel all of their emotions.  It's like I was there with them the whole time. Every time there was a hiccup in their plan, my heart would skip a beat.  I kept telling myself, "how will they get out of this one?"

I didn't know how this story would end.  If it was going to be another soul shattering series ending. I don't want to give away too much, but I fell like everything wrapped up perfectly.  I didn't cry as much in this one as I did in the The Program, but there were some very emotional scenes that had me holding my breath.

If you haven't read The Program yet, I strongly suggest you do.  The Treatment will be out soon and you will want to read it right away. Lucky for you, your waiting time between books will not be as long as ours. Now go out and get it!!!!

I've written and rewritten this review more times than I care to share. That alone should tell you how hard it was to write this review, not because I don't have anything to say it's more of a "I'm at an udder lost for words that I can't come up with a coherent sentence." type of thing. ;)

I was very fortunate enough to have a friend lend me her ARC of The Treatment. (True story: Legit tears were shed when I got my hands on this book.) This is basically going to be a reaction review because I just can't seem to make a real words come out. Suzanne Young is a genius. Plain and simple. The Program was my favorite book of 2013, so you can only imagine how high my expectations where for The Treatment. I am glad to say that Young goes above and beyond any expectations I had.

The Treatment starts off exactly where it left off. James and Sloane are still on the run when they meet a new set of characters. From there on out it is an intense rollercoaster of twist, turns, highs, lows and everything in-between. So many unexpected things happen that I'm still trying to wrap my brain around. The ending is so satisfying. I cried tears of joy because I was so happy with the way everything turned out. I couldn't have asked for a better ending. :')
