Hi Owls, Ana here. I want to tell you a little bit about day 3 of BEA and the craziness that was BookCon. By day 3, we were all exhausted. I mean, REALLY exhausted, but we still managed to wake up early to make a stop at the post office to ship some of our books. That was an adventure all in itself, just like everything we did in New York. The stories we all have! LOL Anywho, I needed to get a copy of The Return. That was the one book I wanted to go to BEA for. I needed to get more of Seth. If you haven't started on that series, I strongly suggest you get on that. You will fall in love with it from the first book. So, I needed to make sure that after shipping my books, that I made it back to the Javits Center before 9:00 am so I can get a ticket to get in line for The Return. After walking in The Javits, I saw the loooooooooong lines that were being made to get in. Picture this, Thursday and Friday, we had the whole floor to roam free to all the different publisher, well, for BookCon, the floor was split in half. People the were able to attend Thursday and Friday, were able to go to both sides, but BookCon people were only allowed to stay in their side. Needless to say, the place was incredibly packed. So much that I was being pushed and elbowed. I needed to get the heck out of there. So what did we do? We went to the other side where it was nice and quiet. We loved it there. Unfortunately, the signing lines were on the other side, so we had no choice but to go there.

This is what it looked like in the back by the signing lines, total madness. So I had a choice to make, stay there and pray I don't get killed or just pick two lines that I REALLY want and call it a day. And that is exactly what I did. I did the line for The Return by Jennifer L. Armentrout since I already had the ticket and Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige. I was able to get The Return and after waiting in line for over an hour for Dorothy Must Die, they announce that they ran out of books. I was mad. They knew that it was going to be a huge crowd and they should have made it a ticketed event as well. If I had known, I would have brought my book from home. But it is what it is.
Right as I was about to walk out, I saw Tampanga!!! Yes, the nerdy book lover of my childhood who was in Boy Meets Word! I wanted to get to meet her and take a picture, but her line, like all the others, was insane and my feet were already killing me. So, I walked by and snapped a shot! She is so tiny and cute!
That my friends, was the end of BEA 2014. We had a lot of fun, but NY kicked our butts and we are happy to be home. And even more happy to get to read all our new books! Make sure you check back with us as we will be posting our reviews on all the books we got at BEA. Until next time my owls! Happy Reading!!!

It's interesting to read the BookCon day from the perspective of someone who went to BEA! I was only able to attend BookCon this year; despite having fun, I'd love to get a blogger pass for BEA next year. It seems like the other days are much more organized. Thanks for sharing!

Yes!!! Don't get me wrong, it's still craziness, but there aren't as many people as there were at BookCon. I truly enjoyed the other two days A LOT more then Saturday. You have to get the blogger pass next year, it's definitely worth it.
