How do you keep existing when your heart is so splintered, so completely torn to shreds, your pulse is fading?
You’re… broken. How do you move forward when every breath is nothing more than a constant ache? Living becomes an insidious reminder that you threw away the single largest part of yourself. Your… soul. No amount of distraction can pull you from the torture of losing your… life.
Now that Emily Cooper has walked away from her first love, she finds herself running toward her only love. Unraveling fast, but clinging to hope, Emily risks all she has left on the man that has consumed her every thought and dream since the day they met. Will Gavin take her back? And if so, will their reunion be a collision of two hearts destined to complete one another and rekindle a love that knew no boundaries? Or will scars from their past rip open, tearing slowly at what each of them was meant to be? Can fate, the ultimate game changer, mend the shattered road it laid out from the start?
Only time will tell…
Tick-Tock…

*  * If you haven't read Collide, I suggest you don't read this review, as it will have spoilers * *

I am not really sure how I feel about this book.  I enjoyed reading it, but I found myself getting pretty annoyed at times.  I love the romance and the chemistry between Emily and Gavin, but sometimes I just felt like it was a little too cheesy.  Don't get me wrong, I really liked the book, but honestly, I was rolling my eyes a lot.   One of my main issues was the whole, "I love you more, no, I love you more", thing between Emily and Gavin. I get it, you love each other, but seriously, do you have to say it over and over again in every paragraph?

Pulse picks up right where Collide ended.  Emily is now in Mexico looking for Gavin to beg for forgiveness and to take her back.  Oh my poor Gavin, he was a hot mess in Mexico. You can tell that he loves Emily, but she hurt him and shattered his heart.  So does he take Emily back?  Of course he does!   He seriously made it too easy for her.  I would have made her work more for it though.  But that's why we love Gavin; he's just so darn lovable! Then the story takes a turn into the dark side. Yep, Dillon is back.  He honestly made me feel really creepy.  The things me put Emily and Gavin through were awful! That guy has some serious issues.  I am so glad that Emily finally woke up and realized what a douche he is.

Then Gail, almost gave me a heart attack.  I must have held my breath during that whole chapter.  I was speechless and in awe. I was so upset! * le sigh * I wish I could tell you more, but I don't want to ruin it for you.  Lets just say that you will shed tears, big alligator tears.

Overall Pulse was a great read.  Even though I had my issues with it, I enjoyed Emily and Gavin's story. Plus, Gavin is just so swoooooooony! Love that Man! Hehe  So make sure you get your copy because you will fall in love with Gavin just like I did.
