Eighteen year old Layken Cohen was miserable.  Her father had recently died and because of financial reasons, her mother moved the family from Texas to Michigan during her senior year of high school.  She thought her life would pretty much suck from that point on until she meets the slightly older, very hot, Will Cooper, who happens to live across the street in their new neighborhood.  Love at first sight? Definitely.  Happily ever after? Not so fast.  

After an instantly strong connection and an amazing first date, Will and Layken are both completely smitten with each other. Circumstances quickly unfold and they soon realize they cannot be together.  But how can they just undo all those exciting new feelings, especially when they have to see each other every day?  It also doesn’t help that their brothers are already best friends.

I love this book. For me, it has everything.  I laughed and cried and went through an array of emotions but always felt completely satisfied with not only every chapter or page but every word.  I literally could not read fast enough.  Colleen Hoover really nailed it with this one.  It’s hard to believe that this is her debut novel.  Having now read all of her books, I can honestly say that she has definitely become my favorite author.
