From the New York Times bestselling author of Beautiful Bastard, Beautiful Stranger, and Beautiful Player, Book Two of the brand-new Wild Seasons series that started with Sweet Filthy Boy—a story of friends, love, and lust.
Despite their rowdy hookups, Harlow and Finn don’t even like each other...which would explain why their marriage lasted only twelve hours. He needs to be in charge and takes whatever he wants. She lives by the Want-something-done? Do-it-yourself mantra. Maybe she’s too similar to the rugged fisherman—or just what he needs.

Oh My God! Once again Aimee Carter manages to blow my socks off! This book kept me on the edge of my seat and biting my non-existing nails. I could not put it down and I am glad I didn't because the ending was just Wow. I have been waiting for this book like Snow White waited for that kiss and as soon as I got the opportunity to get my grabby hands on a copy of it, I did. To my surprise it was better than the first one. More twists, more lies, betrayals and lots of action. Everything a reader would want in a book.
I loved Kitty/Lila in Pawn but in this one not so much. She was a little annoying for my taste, she was being careless (A LOT) and she was just whiny. The reason why I loved her character so much in Pawn was because of how strong she portrayed herself and she did not let anyone put her down. She had a mind of her own. Although in this book she tried to act all brave, half of the time she opened her mouth without thinking and that got her into a lot of trouble. I think her emotions got the best (or worst) of her and she was just acting out. But at the end of this installment she redeemed herself and became the character I had met in the first book.
I am really torn between Knox and Benjy. There is no love triangle in this series so far but I just couldn't help to fall for Knox. He is mysterious and no one knows the real reasons why he supports and protects Kitty/Lila that much. I also love Benjy, he is just this sweet boy who would give away his life for hers as well.
For those who have read Pawn, you guys! You are in for a treat with this one. You would not believe all the twists, turns and HOLY COW moments this author pulled off! Too much, too soon and too fast (in a good way)! There is this HUGE secret that is reveal that took me by surprise. I had my theories but not anywhere close to the truth. I am a little sad with some moments in the book and at one point I was all teary eye.
Overall, this book was great aside from my little issues with Kitty/Lila. Packed with action, the story is a rollercoaster of emotions, up and downs. The plot is really interesting, the pace is just right and is not over packed with unnecessary details. I cant wait to see how all this ends and how the Aimee Carter is going to surprise us in the next book. I think is going to be epic. If you haven't read this series yet, I recommend you do because it is just awesome.
