From #1 "New York Times "bestselling author Abbi Glines comes a brand-new Rosemary Beach novel about Tripp Newark and his hidden romantic past with Bethy Lowry.

In the eyes of the wealthy playboys who frequent Kerrington Country Club in Rosemary Beach, Tripp Newark is a hero. Under pressure from his parents to become a lawyer and lead a conservative, upper-class life, Tripp disappeared from town five years ago to travel the world, forfeiting the opportunity to inherit millions. Yet few know what he was really running from...

Bethy Lowry was unraveling long before her boyfriend drowned in a riptide trying to save her after she'd had one too many drinks--again. A trailer park kid working as a cart girl among the wealthy patrons of Kerrington Country Club, Bethy has always been impressionable. But five years ago, before she earned her reputation as a hard-drinking, easy girl, she had spent a single summer with Tripp Newark that changed her life forever...

First thought after closing the book: These characters are amazing.
Thoughts on the cover: Holy hotness! ;)
 Is it a standalone/series?: Series
Do you have to read the book(s) before?: Yes. Things happen in previous books so if you don't read them you won't get the full impact of the story.

Trying to write a review for any of Abbi's books always has me at a loss for words. I never know what to say because I feel like whatever I do write will never be enough to explain how much I loved each story. I honestly have yet to figure how she keeps topping herself with every single book.

Jace has been gone for more than 18 months yet Bethy is completely broken. She goes about what she needs to do without a care to the world. Yet the shadow that keeps following her won’t take the hint and leave her alone. Tripp's biggest regret is leaving Bethy behind. All he has ever wanted is for Bethy to be happy. When he left he vowed to come back and get her, but the tragic loss of something very dear to them derailed the entire plan. Adding to that mix is the lost of Jace. Bethy is on a downward spiral but Tripp will watch over her, take care of her and hopefully have her back in his arms. Will the past repeat itself or will things finally work out?

You Were Mine is a wild rollercoaster of emotions. I didn't expect anything less. Tripp and Bethy's story was one I've been looking forward to for some time. It’s hard to grip everything that they've both had to go through and the fact that Abbi decided to share their story with us is one for the books! Not only do we get to dive back into their past and see where their young love blossom, but we get to experience the lost of two of the most tragic things that anyone has gone through. I really enjoyed You Were Mine so much and would definitely recommend it if you are a fan of this amazing series!
