Top Ten Tuesday

* * Top Ten Tuesdays (TTT) is a weekly event hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. * *
This week topic is Top Ten Goals/Resolutions For 2015 -- bookish, blogging or otherwise!  Enjoy!

1.  Attend BEA again this year:
I have attended BEA for the past two years and I have had a blast.  I want to go again, but if you have ever attended, you know it can be pretty expensive if you have to fly in and have to book a hotel.  To me, it's not so much all the books, but getting to meet fellow bloggers and authors that I have talked to via social media and have never had the opportunity to meet them face to face.  The free ARCs and Books are just a perk.   So my goal is to start saving money so I can go again this year!  Especially since it will be the last year it will be held in New York.

2.  Read more books from my personal TBR pile!:
I am almost positive that this will be on a lot of other blogger's top ten.  As a blogger, we always try to read as many books as we can from authors and publishers and since they kind of take a priority, the books that we personally want to read for fun, kinda get put on the back burner.  So you can imagine how big my TBP pile is.  *Le Sigh*  So, I need to go back to my 2 review books and 1 personal book schedule.

3.  Try to read more books.:
I have been pretty good at reading my 1 book a week schedule, but sometimes that really isn't enough.  I have managed to read more than 1 a week, when the book is really good and I just can't put it down.  Plus, I did't meet my Good Read's Reading Goal this year and I am really bummed out. *sad face*

4.  Read more books out of my comfort zone:
This past year I have ventured out and read some books I normally would read and I have been really surprised on how much I loved them.  So I will try and read more books that I normally wouldn't pick up.

5.  Try and work on the Blog more:
I have been so busy with life lately, that I haven't had time to do more fun posts besides the review and promotional posts.  So this new year, I will get together with the girls and try to come up with some fun stuff we can do.

6.  Stop procrastinating and start moving!:
Yes, I am a procrastinator.  I leave everything for the last minute.  Most of the time it isn't because I don't feel like working on the project or post, it's because I really don't have the time to do it when I would like to work on it.  #bookbloggerproblems

7.  Write my review as soon as I finish the book:
I did this a few times this past year and it was the best thing I ever did.  Everything about the book was fresh in my mind and once I started typing, I couldn't stop! So I was popping out reviews pretty fast.  I need to start doing this again and actually stick with it.  You probably know that sometimes you just want to pick up the next book on your list and save that review for later.

8.  Come up with a week filled with giveaway and fun stuff for OABR's 2 year Blogversary!:
Last year we turned one and we had a blast with all the interviews we were able to do with some of our favorite authors.  This year we want to give you something bigger and better!

9.  Organize my book shelves!:
As you may know, this is something we book lovers love and hate to do.  It's time consuming and the mess with all our books laying around all over the place can drive us insane!  It's also hard to decide how to organize them.  Should we organize them by genre, authors, series, Young Adult or by Adult? The possibilities are endless unlike my patience.  So I need to come up with a plan and then start or else I will lose my mind.  I know I have lots of books that I need to donate or even giveaway and by doing that, I will have more room for more new babies!  #thestruggleisreal

10.  Try to be more active on social media:
This is hard for me since I have a full time job and a son and husband at home.  But I really want to get to meet more bloggers that share my passion for books and other bookish things!  I mean, who better to understand our obsession then someone who suffers from your same issues! LOL

  1. Nice! I'm dying to go to BEA but I think I'll wait for Chicago in 2016 since it's closer!

    Good luck with your resolutions!

    Here's my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower :)

  2. These are some great resolutions! I also need to work on cutting down on that TBR because it is getting ridiculously high now, and I don't like that. And reading outside of your comfort zone is a nice idea. Sometimes it is good to try new things because you never know what you might stumble on!

We love and appreciate comments, so feel free to leave us one. We always try to respond to every single one and show love back. :)
