It’s never been all rainbows and sunshine for Tessa and Hardin, but each new challenge they’ve faced has only made their passionate bond stronger and stronger. But when a revelation about the past shakes Hardin’s inpenetrable façade to the core—and then Tessa suffers a tragedy—will they stick together again, or be torn apart?
As the shocking truth about each of their families emerges, it’s clear the two lovers are not so different from each other. Tessa is no longer the sweet, simple, good girl she was when she met Hardin—any more than he is the cruel, moody boy she fell so hard for. Tessa understands all the troubling emotions brewing beneath Hardin’s exterior, and she knows she’s the only one who can calm him when he erupts. He needs her.
But the more layers of his past come to light, the darker he grows, and the harder he pushes Tessa—and everyone else in his life—away. Tessa’s not sure if she really can save him—not without sacrificing herself. She refuses to go down without a fight. But who is she fighting for—Hardin or herself?

As I write this review, I am getting all emotional again.  I can not begin to tell you just how much I miss these characters.  I have never really had the urge to reread any book, but after I finished After Ever Happy, and the realization that there wasn't another book to read, my heart literally crushed.  I want to read their story all over again.

Their relationship wasn't the healthiest.  They fought.  They did things to each other just to piss one another off, but that was them.  That was Tessa and Hardin.  They loved each other more then anything in the world and that to me made everything worth it.

I am going to show you my emotions while reading After Ever Happy.  They were all over the place because Anna loved playing with my emotions like that.  This book brought out every emotion possible and I loved every minute of it.  Books that do that to me stand out and hold a special place in my heart.
(Beyond mad!!)

So the first few chapters in After Ever happy had me really pissed.  I really hated Hardin.  I really didn't think that they would ever come back from that.  I was literally screaming and crying right along with them.

(Heart broken and devastated)

My poor Tessa, she was literally broken.  My heart hurt for her and all I wanted was to jump in the book and hold her and tell her everything would be okay.  I wanted to tell her she was strong and that she would get past this.

(Why are you doing this to me, ANNA?!!)

Anna you seriously broke me with this book.  That is all I will say.  I love you girl!

(Everything was just.....beautiful!)

As I read and read, I didn't think I was going to get my HEA.  All I wanted was for Hardin to get himself together and for him and Tessa to finally be together without any more complications.  I didn't care how it happened as long as it did.  But then Anna threw me a curve ball and gave me what I wanted but only when Hardin and Tessa were ready.  It was perfect, absolutely perfect.

(Sleep Deprived)

I have never read a series as fast as this.  I would literally wake up in the middle of the night, while everyone was sleeping just to read.  Yes, I was up at 3am reading in my living room alone like a crazy woman.  My husband thought I was going crazy, maybe I was, but I didn't care.  I wanted more Hardin and Tessa.  Was it worth it all?  Absolutely!!  If you haven't started this series yet, I strongly recommend you do.  I was an emotional mess through out the whole thing.  I was screaming at the characters and laughing with them.

Thank you Anna for this beautiful series!!!!
