A girl looking to escape her past in New York City ends up on the run from a dangerous conspiracy in this sizzling, high-stakes novel.
When seventeen-year-old Liva came to New York City, all she wanted was to escape the painful memories of her past and finally find a fresh start. Her hopes for a new future were dashed the moment she became the sole witness to a brutal murder. When she’s taken into police custody—supposedly for her own protection—she realizes something isn’t right, but it’s too late. Soon, bullets start flying, and Liva realizes that she is not just a witness, but the target—and she needs to escape before it’s too late.
With the help of a sexy car thief that she met at the station, Liva manages to get away from the massacre unharmed, but now the two of them are alone in New York, trying to outrun and outwit the two killers who will stop at nothing to find them. Liva and Jay are living on the edge, but when you’re on the edge, there’s a long way to fall.
Sarah Alderson you should also consider screen-writing or maybe even directing in your spare time because your book has all the elements I love. I felt like I was watching a movie while reading Out of Control; the first chapter is just insane and it hooked me immediately.
I bow down to Olivia. I seriously have no idea how she was so rational about everything that was going on because I would have been on the floor crying. Olivia was on the run for her life but she still managed to use that brain of hers instead of freaking out. I liked Oliva, she's a smart girl, and not a second goes by where she doesn't question everyone's motives. It was awesome seeing how well Olivia took care of herself, without a doubt, she's one of my favorite kickass heroines.
I must make a confession. I am over the moon with Jay and Olivia, those two together had my nerves lit up, I mean I was just waiting for all that tension to explode. Jay was such a sweetheart when it came to helping Olivia that I couldn't help but want them to kiss kiss kiss. I know people don't normally fall for each other that quickly but Sarah made it work with them. Since they met I was like "Oh yes, you two will do just fine."
You know when you get on a rollercoaster and you don't know what to expect and you're just like "OH MY GAWD, OH MY GAWD?" Well that's how I felt after all was revealed in this story. Sarah Alderson is queen of all the twist and turns. I was genuinely surprised and shocked and I'm still processing everything because wow Sarah, just wow.
Out of Control was a fast-paced-action read that I didn't want to end. And I need someone to teach me how to drive like Jay, just in-case I'm ever on the run.

Ooh a main character that shares my name! Already this book earns bonus points from me ;) I have a friend blogger who LOVED this one and says it was an amazing thriller with some culture in there as well in parts (especially how diverse the main characters both were) so I can see myself liking this one too.
