They say it takes 21 days to form a habit.
They lie.
For 21 days she held on.
But on Day 22, she would have given anything for the sweet slumber of death.
Because on Day 22, she realizes that her only way out means certain death for one of the two men she loves.
A haunting tale of passion, loss, and redemption, The Paper Swan is a darkly intense yet heartwarming love story, textured with grit, intrigue, and suspense. Please note: This is NOT a love triangle.
A full-length, standalone novel, intended for mature audiences due to violence, sex and language. Subject matter may be disturbing for some readers.

Ummmmmmmm, I don't even know where to begin with this story.  I really would love to just tell you, the book is amazeballs, now go out and buy it.  Like NOW!!!  Seriously, though, I had seen people posting about The Paper Swan on Instagram and Twitter and everyone was just saying how good it was.  Well, after seeing a few bloggers/readers that I trust saying the same thing, I knew I just had to read it.  So I bough it the night before and I finished it within 24 hours.  Mind you, I have a 7 year old son which I have to entertain while he's on summer break and lets not forget I have to cook and clean too. But that day, I did NOTHING!  I couldn't.  All I wanted to do was read. Everywhere I went I took my iPad or or phone to read it.  And when I say everywhere, I mean everywhere.  I just couldn't help it.  I just didn't want to put it down.  Every time I turned the page there was something new.  You know how we tell ourselves just one more chapter. Well, yeah, that's not going to work here because there isn't a point where you could say, well this is a good spot to put it down.  No ma'am! All you want to do is read and read.  Like a drug addict looking for their next hit. SERIOUSLY!  LOL

"Vengeance only begets more vengeance, more chaos, more darkness. Vengeance adducts us and imprisons us and mutilates us, and we suffer and suffer until we unravel its probing parasitic suckers from around us."

The description of the book is pretty vague. The best way to go into this book is not really knowing much about it.  But one thing I can tell you, is that THIS IS NOT A LOVE TRIANGLE.  I promise!!! I know a lot of people are turned off when it comes to love triangles, but I can assure you this is not one of those stories.  This story of about revenge, forgiveness and love.

"The two men that I loved the most, with all my heart, were out to destroy each other. I had a feeling that by the time it was all said and done, only one would be left standing."

This is the first book by Leylah Attar that I have read and I am totally in love with her writing.  She captures you from the very beginning and doesn't let you go until you have read the very last word. Even then all you think about is about the characters and how  much you loved them.  Thank you Leylah for writing such a beautiful and special story.  I will treasure it always.

"We  are a question that hasn't been answered yet, a hiding place that hasn't been found yet, a battle that hasn't been fought yet."
