We will have giveaways and will also be sharing our love for Marie Lu's THE YOUNG ELITES series and her new book THE ROSE SOCIETY, which releases on October 13, 2015

My name is Xana and I know what you're thinking right now. Seriously I do. Telepathy and mind control is my bad ass power. So just so you know, your thoughts are not safe around me. Unless, you don't care that I find out your deepest and darkest secrets. My powers took me by surprise one day. I could hear what other people were thinking. At first I thought I was going crazy, but then I realized that I was given this amazing ability and with it I could get whatever I wanted. Power is what I want and power is what I will get. So just go ahead and try to stop me!

It was a cold, gloomy day when I met deadly dolly.
I was waiting at the bus stop when I heard her. Her thoughts were as clear as my own. She was ranting on and on about a professor and how sorry she was, how he deserved it, and how maybe he didn't deserve it. Her thoughts were a jumbled mess and maybe that's what compelled me to turn around and tell deadly dolly he deserved it.
We've been inseparable ever since.
We were loners for many years. That is until we met the Nefarious Seven. They understood what it felt like to have people fear you. They were just like us, but with different powers. They took us in and changed their name to The Nefarious Nine. Together we will rule the world!

Once upon a time I use to be a girl who loved flowers and pretty dresses.
Once upon a time I even had a cute name.
That all changed in an instant.
You ever heard the story where a guy or girl are struck by lightening and they die? Well, that didn't happen to me. Nope. I was one of the lucky ones who was struck by lightening and now I'm this chick who has electricity running through her veins.
Don't believe me? Touch me. I dare you.
I have a bit of a temper. I was kicked out of college my sophomore year for electrocuting,or frying, my biology professor. At the time I did feel sorry for what I did and I even blamed myself but he had it coming. I mean you can't play with electricity and expect not to get shocked, right.
Since you must know I have what some would call electrokinesi, which means I can paralyze your sorry ass with a single touch, and if I'm in a good mood, I might just let you live.
I can also do fun things like:
• shoot bolt lightnings
• create an electrical whip
• etc, etc
And before you ask, no I don't have to wear a suit to contain my power; I can wear whatever I want, kiss whoever I want, go wherever I want. I'm basically an overcharged human that has urges to be a little bad, What's the harm in that.
So if you ever see me on the streets I suggest you run.
XOXO

I am tired of being used, hurt, and cast aside.
Adelina Amouteru is a survivor of the blood fever. A decade ago, the deadly illness swept through her nation. Most of the infected perished, while many of the children who survived were left with strange markings. Adelina’s black hair turned silver, her lashes went pale, and now she has only a jagged scar where her left eye once was. Her cruel father believes she is a malfetto, an abomination, ruining their family’s good name and standing in the way of their fortune. But some of the fever’s survivors are rumored to possess more than just scars—they are believed to have mysterious and powerful gifts, and though their identities remain secret, they have come to be called the Young Elites.
Teren Santoro works for the king. As Leader of the Inquisition Axis, it is his job to seek out the Young Elites, to destroy them before they destroy the nation. He believes the Young Elites to be dangerous and vengeful, but it’s Teren who may possess the darkest secret of all.
Enzo Valenciano is a member of the Dagger Society. This secret sect of Young Elites seeks out others like them before the Inquisition Axis can. But when the Daggers find Adelina, they discover someone with powers like they’ve never seen.
Adelina wants to believe Enzo is on her side, and that Teren is the true enemy. But the lives of these three will collide in unexpected ways, as each fights a very different and personal battle. But of one thing they are all certain: Adelina has abilities that shouldn’t belong in this world. A vengeful blackness in her heart. And a desire to destroy all who dare to cross her.
It is my turn to use. My turn to hurt.

I love to browse yours blog! It's so colorful and pleasing to the eye ;) Many of the books I did not know before, such as The Young Elites.
ReplyDeleteAnd of course the super villains ;)
Superpower I wish to have would have to be telekenesis though if you ask me at another time I'm sure that would change! And I find super villians more interesting generally. Sometimes you just like a character you love to hate.
ReplyDeletesuper villains!! There is just comething about the bad guys!
