Avery Melrose is used to having it all. So when her boyfriend cheats on her, she reacts like any spoiled rich girl-she freaks out and vandalizes his new truck, Carrie Underwood style. Now she's stuck with 300 hours of community service doing road-side garbage duty.
Seth Hunter just got out of prison, and after a few hundred hours picking up litter on the side of the highway, he can finally put his mistakes behind him. If he can string together some kind of existence, maybe it'll be enough to get his sister away from their stepfather, the man who sent Seth to prison in the first place.
A romance between these two is doomed from the start. Girls like Avery want castles and white horses, and Seth is no prince charming.
But sometimes, being around Avery makes Seth think he could make something of himself. Maybe even be worthy of a girl like her. It's just too bad real life gets in the way first, tearing these two apart before they have any chance of getting to Happily Ever After.
I was sold with the synopsis for Right Where You Are. Read it and tell me it doesn't want to make you get revenge on your ex either. Avery did Carrie Underwood proud.
The Characters
Avery was a nice-caring rich girl who always did what her parents told her to because she wanted to make them proud. Serving Community services and her talks with Seth make her see that she can do anything as long as it makes her happy.
Seth was one of those characters who didn't think he deserved the best and while he was getting to know Avery he starts to realize that he is worth it and he does deserve the best.
The Drama
Every New Adult book has drama and Right Where You Are is filled with it. Seth and Avery both have obstacles to overcome before they can find that true happiness they've always sought. I mean a controlling politician dad, a stepfather who is a drug addict and controlling a minor, doesn't that just scream drama?
The Good
What I liked most about Right Where You Are is that we have these two characters from different worlds who bring out the best in each other. Seth and Avery pushed each other towards theirs dreams and what they really wanted and that just made them stronger as a couple
The Romance
The romance between Seth and Avery was one that started off as an I like you-I-don't like you to an I love you kind of romance and I adored every aspect of it. The way Seth and Avery met was hot as hell, I mean I may have had to fan myself afterwards. The tension and romance starts to build later in the book and ugh everything worked out they way it was suppose to. SETH AND AVERY FOREVER!
Final Thoughts
Right Where You Are was a cute, fast paced, fluffy read that I enjoyed and I can't wait to read more of L.E. Bross work.
