The Winner's Trilogy has got a new look.
I haven't read this series so I'm okay with the cover changes since I'm not emotionally invested but I know A LOT of other readers prefer the original covers.
You never know maybe the publisher will release the original hardcover later on.

Marie Rutkoski is the author of The Kronos Chronicles, including The Cabinet of Wonders and The Celestial Globe. The Cabinet of Wonders, her debut novel, was named an Indie Next Kids’ List Great Read and a Bank Street Best Children’s Book of the Year, among other honors. Rutkoski grew up in Bolingbrook, Illinois (a suburb of Chicago), as the oldest of four children. She attended the University of Iowa, where she took Writers’ Workshop classes and studied with Pulitzer Prize-winner James Alant McPherson. After graduating, she lived in Moscow and Prague. Upon receiving her Ph.D. from Harvard University, she held dual appointments as a lecturer there in both English and American Literature and Language, and History and Literature. Rutkoski is currently a professor at Brooklyn College, where she teaches Renaissance Drama, children’s literature and creative writing. She lives in New York City with her husband and cat.
I have a lot of feelings about it and most of them are negative.That mostly has to do with the fact that it doesn't meld with who the character is. I really hate it when publishers do this. Especially in the middle of a series. Not only am I book lover, but I like to collect them too. So when they go and change the covers like this, it makes me mad because now my books don't match. I also agree with you. Plus, the covers remind me of the Throne of Glass Series by Sarah J. Maas. They are almost identical.

ReplyDeleteI read the first book and I really liked it. I want to wait until all the books are out so I can binge read them because the first one sort of ended in a cliffhanger and I hate that. LOL
