Brotherhood. Club. Family.
They live and ride by their own rules.
These are the Raven Riders . . .
Raven Riders Motorcycle Club President Dare Kenyon rides hard and values loyalty above all else. He’ll do anything to protect the brotherhood of bikers—the only family he’s got—as well as those who can’t defend themselves. So when mistrustful Haven Randall lands on the club’s doorstep scared that she’s being hunted, Dare takes her in, swears to keep her safe, and pushes to learn the secrets overshadowing her pretty smile.
Haven fled from years of abuse at the hands of her criminal father and is suspicious of any man’s promises, including those of the darkly sexy and overwhelmingly intense Ravens’ leader. But as the powerful attraction between them flares to life, Dare pushes her boundaries and tempts her to want things she never thought she could.
The past never dies without a fight, but Dare Kenyon’s never backed down before . . .

Ride Hard: A Raven Riders Novel is the first book in Laura Kaye’s new series. This is the first time that I read anything by Laura Kaye. As soon as I began reading Ride Hard, I realized that I have been missing out big time. The first thing that grabbed my attention about this book was the sexy cover. I mean...can you say steamy? When the synopsis mentions a brotherhood of bikers I knew I was going to be all over this book. YES...I am guilty of liking bikers...I blame Sons of Anarchy for that!

Haven is a twenty two year old who has escaped from her father’s dominant and criminal ways. She lands in the doorsteps of the Raven Riders Motorcycle Club. When Haven meets Dare the president of the Ravens and his brother she is unsure of their intentions. Soon, she discovers that the Ravens are all about family and loyalty something that she is not used to. Little did she know that her life is about to take a drastic turn for the better...or for worse.

I LOVED that the author decided to write the story from two different point of views (Haven & Dare). I shed tears for both characters but they both made me smile...a lot! In the beginning I wasn’t too sure about how I felt about Haven. As I kept on reading I began to like her. What made me love her character was Dare’s point of view. Getting to know her from his point of view completely change my perspective of her. Talking about Dare...can I say SWOON?!? I am not sure if swoon is enough for that man. Since it is so hard for me to put him into words, I thought a couple of quotes can help me.

“I need you to try to judge me on my actions and my words, not on the actions and words of the people who came before me in your life.”
Dare to Haven

“Oh Haven, you have no idea what I’d be willing to do for you if you wanted me to.”
Dare

Those are only two out of the many quotes I highlighted, but I don’t to give out spoilers! I can’t wait for the second book in the series to come out in fall of this year! I need more, I need more!!! Meanwhile, I will be looking into other books by Laura Kaye. I am sure her other books will make the wait a lot more bearable!
