There is literally one word I would use to best describe this book INTENSE!! This book is the type of read that will pull you in suck you dry and keep you wondering how could you live without it. I know these words may sound surreal, but it really is that breathtaking. I utterly enjoyed the overall storyline and the intensity and speed of events. The turmoil and pain going on between Drake and Evangeline is just mind blowing. I personally could not help falling in love with Drake and his dominating ways. His demeanor and his endless raw behavior had me almost to the point of tears! I enjoyed learning about Drake’s background and seeing how he really was trying to open up and change. Evangeline on the other hand really got on my nervous in certain parts of the book.

I loved her character but at the same time I wanted to smack some sense into her. At times I was proud of her behavior and truly thought she was developing to be a strong women. But just when I got comfortable with her, things fell right back to my first impressions of her. The back and forth made me go crazy!!!!! I believe Evangeline is way too forgiving and vulnerable. Almost to the point of being too much. But, I also feel that her characteristics and nature are also a positive way for her to bring those around her together. Therefore, I realized every on that I have a love hate relationship with her that hopefully will be more loving as the series continues. :)

Overall, I thought the writing was good and very descriptive. The speed of events was right on point and the flow and progression were amazing in my opinion. The storyline is what really gravitate the reader and it was definitely one of my favorite things about this read. Ms. Banks provides drama, passion, tension and a whole lot of sexiness into this wonderful read. If you are looking for a hot series that will leave you breathless, this is it!!! Trust me, you will not be disappointed and you will definitely want to get your greedy hands on this read!
