It's been a long time since I read Wicked, book #1 in the series, which made it really hard to remember what all went down in Wicked. Luckily, enough was recapped that I was able to piece the pieces together and know what was going on. I'm not really into re-reading books, because I really don't have the time, but I'm sure it would have made a big difference. So just a heads up to those of you that are like me and read Wicked over a year ago.
**** SPOILERS AHEAD. Don't read unless you have read WICKED. ****
Torn picked up right where Wicked left off and we are thrown back into this crazy world. We are introduced to some new characters and get to find out secrets about some of the old ones. One of them in particular really took me by surprise and I was laughing so hard because I couldn't stop picturing it. (You'll know what I'm talking about once you read it) LOL Jennifer seriously knows how to create memorable characters. It had me totally like this while reading that scene! LOL
The romance and connection between Ivy and Ren is more intense in Torn and I love every minute of it! Even though they hit a pretty huge wall where their relationship gets tested. Would true love prevail? I guess you will just have to find out. Also, there are soooooo many swoon worthy moments, but that's expected in a JLA book. I mean, she practically invented the word! LOL
Torn is really high paced and I promise you will not want to put it down. It’s full of action and surprises. Lots of surprises. We all know that the Prince made it out of the door in Wicked and we get to find out what his plan is. Just a little hint, it’s not very nice and all hell will break loose if he gets his way. I have a confession to make though, I kinda in a very weird way, like the Prince. I know, I know, wtf, Ana! He’s evil and blah blah blah, but he’s actually kind of funny. I guess I sort of enjoy his dry and sick sense of humor. LOL Now, please don’t think that I would trade Ren or even Tink for The Prince. There is just something about him… Let’s see what happens in book 3.
