Texas Teen Book Festival Recap

Texas Teen Book Festival is held in Austin Texas where readers and authors celebrate a one-day filled with panels and signings.

I woke up around 4am on Saturday trying to decide if I wanted to make the trip out.  The 4 hour drive was holding me back just a little. But then I started getting ready and that was that. (Also my dog isn't use to me getting up this early and as you can tell he was really sleepy)

The drive to Austin was great, what was suppose to feel like a 4 hour drive ,felt like only 2 hours and the morning sky was absolutely beautiful.

I arrive to the event around 9-9:30 and I'm glad that signs were posted for parking, because if not, I would've been sooooo lost.

The two panels I attended were fun and I loved hearing authors talk about life and their experiences.

 Also shout out to my cousin Jennifer for joining me. MUAH!

 While getting food, I noticed that a line was already forming for the authors and I decide to make the line as well.

 As soon as it was my turn to meet Sabaa, she immediately showed me her owl necklace and we bonded over our love of owls.

 Unfortunately I couldn't meet Renee but my cousin got my books signed for me, and Renee even told her she was awesome for doing that for me, and that made my cousins day.

As soon as the second signing was over, I made the line for Morgan Rhodes who is my queen.

While waiting in line, I met a fellow Rhodes Rebel, Carol from The Reading Wallflower, and we couldn't stop talking about our love of Morgan, her books, and our bae Magnus.

 I'm next in line and my dreams of meeting Morgan are finally about to come true. I thought I was going to be a mess when I talked to her but I surprised myself and it was like Morgan was just a friend that I hadn't seen in awhile.

Morgan deserves all good things for signing the 8 books I brought, yes I brought 8 books, so thank you, thank you, thank you, Morgan.

 Morgan is so kind and sweet and funny, and I seriously could've talked to her forever; she made a joke about the ending of Crystal Storm because I said it was Magnus' book, and she's like "we'll see by the end of the book" ,so now I'm on pins and needles waiting for December.

How epic is this, I about died when I read it.

 And don't even get me started on the maps.  I legit freaked out when I saw them!

I also couldn't meet Leigh but just seeing her from afar was worth it. I heard she stayed until dark so that everyone could get their books signed, which is all kinds of amazing.

October 1st 2016 is a day that will go down in history, because I got to meet two of my favorite authors and a fellow Rhodes Rebel. Since this was my first time attending, I can say without a doubt, that I loved every moment of it.  Thank you to everyone for making this a fun and exciting event;
