* Top Ten Tuesdays (TTT) is a weekly event hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. *
* This week's TTT is: Summer Reads Freebie: In preparation for Memorial Day (which is always the unofficial summer kickoff for me), let's rec some summer/beach reads: books to go in your beach bag, best books set in summer, books with summer-y covers, best beach reads for people who don't enjoy contemporary/realistic reads, best beach reads for fans of X genre, etc. etc.

I am a teacher, and every year when Summer Break is upon us, my colleagues are always coming to me for Summer Reads recommendations, and I always point them to the Rosemary Beach series by Abbi Glines. You simply cannot go wrong with this book series!
The Rosemary Beach series is a 13 book series, but don't let that deter you! Each of the books in the series is short, fast paced, well written, and highly engaging and entertaining. Each 2-3 books in the series is about a different set of characters that all live, for the most part, in Rosemary Beach, Florida.
You cannot get more summer than that!
A few of the books do take place in Texas, but trust me when I say that does not in any way detract from the Summer Reads feel.
The formula that Abbi Glines uses for the books in this series, will have you hooked from the start. You will not want to to put them down, and you will be salivating for each next installment.
I highly recommend you buy them all on your kindle or nook or whatever e-reader you have, and just devouring them while at the beach or pool this summer. Don't forget to sip on some adult libations while your at it!
Just so you know, Fallen Too Far and When I'm Gone both made me cry, and it takes A LOT for a book to make me cry. There was something in both of them that just really tugged at my heart strings.

Nice picks! All totally new to me ones! Didn't realize Abbi wrote so many books! I looooved her first paranormal NA one! Wish she'd write more in that area! Lol! Great picks!

I've never actually read anything by Abbi Glines before. I will have to check out a few of her books!
ReplyDeleteI agree 1000%. Glines' books remind me of soap operas. Sometimes you just want that frothy goodness with a little OTT thrown in. Read them all and will keep reading them, if she keeps writing them.
