Heir to Lund Enterprises and ladies' man Jensen "The Rocket" Lund has three conditions when it comes to dating:
1) No single mothers
2) No cheerleaders
3) No medical personnel
So it makes no sense that he's wildly attracted to Rowan Michaels, who breaks all three.
Rowan Michaels didn't pass the rigorous requirements to become an athletic trainer and Vikings cheerleader in the hopes of landing a pro athlete: been there, done that, and she has a young son as proof that football players and fidelity don't go hand in hand. When Rowan learns her new neighbor is Jensen Lund, the smoking-hot tight end who takes being neighborly to a whole new level, she's grateful for the team's strict "no fraternization" policy because the sexy man defines temptation.
But Jensen is intent on rushing straight to the goal line to prove to Rowan he's much more than just a player...on and off the field.

This is may be my favorite book of the series so far. I just love Jensen and Rowan together. I've also really come to enjoy Lorelei James writing, especially in this book.
Rowan and Jensen's relationship was so genuine from the very beginning that I couldn't help but ship them right away. They fit so well together and felt like a perfect balance to each other. A favorite aspect of mine is seeing the sweeter, more laid back side of Jensen. Especially while Rowan can be the opposite, in the best way because of how they compliment each other.
Jensen may be my favorite sibling in the Lund family. He was misunderstood at first, but not because he put up a certain image, but because he really was misunderstood. It was nice to see Jensen as an all around good guy - genuine, laid back, kind and thoughtful. Rowan was a great character to get to know as well. She had many layers, in the best way. She was strong, straight-forward and no-nonsense. It was so fun to get to see these two get on and develop a relationship along the way.
One thing that Lorelei James has done so well is to keep up with the whole family throughout the books. I love seeing updates with all of the siblings in each story, and in a natural way. The way that James' does it feels like you're catching up with a family that you've fallen in love with over the years and you're hoping the best and happy to see what everyone has been up to.
Again, I have to give kudos to the setting and how fun it is to see familiar places show up in the story. It was really cool to see Jensen play for the football team I root for and Rowan cheering for the same team.
I haven't read many sports romances, but Jensen and Rowan's story of football player and cheerleader made me want to check out some more!

aww...this sounds like a charming romance. I love a couple that fits so well together like you described here. So I definitely need to be picking this up soon.
