Top Ten Tuesdays (TTT) is a weekly event now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's TTT is: Books I've Decided I'm No Longer Interested in Reading.
Here are some reasons that I'm no longer interested in these books:
(please note that its most likely me and not the book)
- The hype has worn down and the hype is what had me interested in the first place.
- My reading tastes have changed since I had originally been interested in the book.
- I'm a huge mood reader and while I was interested in the book during a certain mood, I have since moved on from that mood.
I enjoyed Carve the Mark, but The Siren was remarkably average. I own most of the other books on your list but just haven't felt inclined to pick them up yet - I'll probably end up unhauling most of them, because it's been too long and none of them excite me anymore!

I liked Red Queen honestly! Lol! I hope to read the rest of the series this year. Key words "hope to"! I still want to read Carve the Mark as well just to give it a try. I see so many authors "make it big" and then quit writing which always upsets me. So I want to see what new stuff Veronica's writing!

I am (almost) heartless when it comes to cutting a book loose. I’ve resolved to cut loose a lot of novels I am going to try to read this year if it doesn’t work out with them.

I`m on the fence with "Red Queen". I love dystopia, but I`ve heard mixed things about these books. Plus, I`m confused with the release of so many sequels and novellas. When will it end?

ReplyDeleteYou aren't missing anything by skipping Soundless and I thought Magonia was ok. I really liked Red Queen, but it seems to not be popular among several people I follow. I still am planning on reading The Bone Witch since the 2nd comes out soon...
I have never been interested in reading The Siren and I've been on the fence about Carve the Mark, though I suspect I may not read it.
I mood read also, so I'm sure I'll end up not reading some books on my shelves. Who knows! =)
