Top Ten Tuesdays (TTT) is a weekly event now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's TTT is: Favorite Novellas/Short Stories -> Short Story collections I want to read
I haven't read many short story collections and I've been wanting to change that. I changed up this topic a bit to talk about the short story collections that I want to read. Some of these are classic authors, some of these are more modern - it's a mix.

All of these books are ones that I have been recommended and sound like they will be really good reads. Alice Munro is one of my mother-in-law's favorite authors.

These are classic authors that I would love to read.
I read stories from Flannery O'Connor and Shirley Jackson in high school and they have stuck with me through the years.
Ernest Hemingway is a favorite classic author and another author who I read a short story from in high school that has stuck with me throughout the years.
J.D. Salinger is one author whose work I haven't read but have wanted to for so long.

Loving these covers. They'd definitely pull me towards reading the book. My TTT
ReplyDeleteRead the Flannery O'Connor stories first. You will love them. I am adding the Tom Hanks books to my TBR right now. My favorite short stories

Old Follower :)
Yes, Ernest Hemingway wrote some great short stories.
ReplyDeleteHere is our Top Ten Tuesday.
I’ve read almost all of these. The only one I couldn’t finish is What Is Not Yours Is Not Yours. I got bored with it.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I've never read Ernest Hemingway, oddly enough, but given the fact that he has a sort of local connection (he spent time several hours to the north of where I live here in Michigan) I've always been curious- I should do something about that.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of these. I think there's a lot of people this week that haven't read a lot of short stories, but it's interesting to see people's picks!
