Top Ten Tuesday: Most Anticipated Releases For the First Half of 2019

Top Ten Tuesdays (TTT) is a weekly event now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's TTT is: Most Anticipated Releases for the first half of 2019.
I haven't felt as updated on all the good books coming out recently and when I started looking around I found some books that I'm pretty stoked for. I feel like I have a bit of a mix, some adult and some young adult, I hope you can find something that you're excited for too!
The books are all listed by release date.

The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi
Release date: January 15th
Check it out on Goodreads

The synopsis of this book sounds so intriguing. A treasure hunter is joined group of experts including an engineer with a debt to pay, a historian who can't yet go home, a dancer with a sinister past, and a brother in all but blood, who might care too much. Together, they all have to use their wits and knowledge to hunt an artifact through the dark and glittering heart of Paris. I can't wait to check this one out!

Unmarriageable by Soniah Kamal
Release date: January 22nd
Check it out on Goodreads

A diverse retelling of Pride and Prejudice - yes please! I am always down to check out a Pride and Prejudice retelling, especially when they bring a new setting and unique characters to the story!

99 Percent Mine by Sally Thorne
Release date: January 29th
Check it out on Goodreads

I really loved Sally Thorne's first novel, The Hating Game, so I'm so excited to check out her next book!

King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo
Release date: January 29th
Check it out on Goodreads

Leigh Bardugo writes some wonderful stories, so I would put any of her works on this list, BUT. Nikolai was my favorite character in the Shadow and Bone series and I always wished to get to know him more. I'm really looking forward to diving into this first book in a duology focusing on him.

Black Leopard, Red Wolf by Marlon James
Release date: February 5th
Check it out on Goodreads

I heard some praise from an early reader I trust (I'm bummed I can't remember who!) and that put this book on my radar. Sometime books give that vibe/feeling that they're going to be good ones - this one definitely gives me that vibe/feeling.

Courting Darkness by Robin LaFevers
Release date: February 5th
Check it out on Goodreads

I loved Robin LaFevers series, His Fair Assassin, and when I found out that there were going to be more books focusing on Sybella, I was so excited. I can't wait to these characters and to find out what happens next.

The Huntress by Kate Quinn
Release date: February 26th
Check it out on Goodreads

After being the author behind one of my all time favorite series, Kate Quinn will always be on my most anticipated lists. I'm ready for my love of historical fiction and Kate Quinn's books to increase.

Warrior of the Wild by Tricia Levenseller
Release date: February 26th
Check it out on Goodreads

I really enjoyed Tricia Levenseller's duology, Daughter of the Pirate King, and I'm looking forward to checking out this story. From reading the synopsis, it looks like we may get another BA female main character to follow, which I am all for!

Daisy Jones & the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid
Release date: March 5th
Check it out on Goodreads

Taylor Jenkins Reid is one of my favorite authors, so adding her newest release to this list was a no-brainer. The early reviews I've been seeing have made me even more excited!

When We Left Cuba by Chanel Cleeton
Release date: April 9th
Check it out on Goodreads

I have found a new love for historical fiction throughout the past year and I've been meaning to read Chanel Cleeton's book, Next Year in Havana, since fellow owl Ilena reviewed it. I have a feeling I'm going to love her work, and this newest one is one I want to keep an eye out for.

  1. Ooh nice picks! Lots of new to me ones! Though I am looking forward to King of Scars, but I plan to read that one next year with its finale/sequel! Lol! Warrior of the Wild is another I can't wait to read! Great picks!
