Top Ten Tuesday: Favorite Couples in Books

Top Ten Tuesdays (TTT) is a weekly event now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's TTT is: Favorite Couples in Books.
What a fun Valentine's Day theme to do! We all have those couples that we majorly ship when reading. I can't wait to share mine with you and maybe we have a few in common :)

Sabina & Vix
from The Empress of Rome Series by Kate Quinn
Seriously, this was one of the biggest ships ever, but also I didn't know if this ship was going to sail or not. I won't say anymore to avoid spoilers :)

Arin & Kestrel
from The Winner's trilogy by Marie Rutkoski
This is one of my top ships of all time and boy was it an emotional ride seeing these two throughout the series.

Elizabeth & Mr. Darcy
from Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen
I had to include this classic, no surprises here right?

Lara Jean & Peter
from To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han
Confession here: I first shipped Lara Jean and John Ambrose, but after watching the film and seeing Peter (they nailed him in casting, all the characters they did!) I jumped ship and got on the Lara Jean and Peter one.

Simon & Blue
from Simon vs. the Homosapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli
This is the first ship where I didn't know who the person was until the end of the book. If you're unfamiliar with this story, Simon is talking to someone online named Blue, but doesn't know who Blue is and throughout the story tries to figure it out. I always shipped Blue and Simon knowing how happy Simon was just talking about Blue, but when I found out who Blue really was, it left a huge smile on my face.

Cress & Thorne
from The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer
I really loved seeing these two together. They were opposites and kind of reminded me of Rapunzel and Flynn from Tangled, one of my favorite Disney films.

Lira & Elian
from To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Chirsto
I really loved shipping these two and seeing where the story was going to take them. I'm always a sucker for hate to love romances.

Lucy and Josh
from The Hating Game by Sally Thorne
I already mentioned how I'm a sucks for hate to love romances, right? This is one I really enjoyed seeing unfold throughout the book.

Lily & Cade
from P.S. I Like You by Kasie West
This is one of my favorite contemporary romance books, I had fun following this story and finding out what was going to happen next. (also, no surprise this is another hate to love story)

Red & Sorcha
The Sevenwaters trilogy by Juliet Marillier
I love the books I've read in this trilogy so far. With each book comes a new couples that I can't help but root for together.

  2. I put Lara Jean and Peter on my list, too - I love them! And I agree, the casting for the film was spot-on. I also love Kasie West, and P.S. I Like You is on my to-read list.
