Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Unforgettable Book Characters

Top Ten Tuesdays (TTT) is a weekly event now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's TTT is: a character freebie. I'm writing about my top ten unforgettable book characters.

Alanna
from The Song of the Lionness quartet
Alanna is a character that I wish I would have found earlier. She's such a strong female character. I love her loyalty to herself, her confidence and her drive to do the right thing.

Arin
from The Winner's Curse series
If I were to pick book boyfriends, Arin would definitely be on my list. He was multi-dimensional which I'm always drawn to. He had a quiet strength, a passion for doing the right thing for his people,  yet he was also stubborn.

Simon
from Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda
Simon! This guy is one that I'd be so lucky to know. He's so kind and open. I rooted for him throughout the whole book. I mean, there's nothing not to like about him.

Lupin, Sirius, Luna, etc.
from the Harry Potter series
I could probably do a top ten list just of Harry Potter characters but I had to mention a few and I had a  hard time picking just one. Lupin is so memorable as a teacher and always standing up for what should be done. Sirius is secretly a good-hearted man. Luna, I love her quirkiness. There are so many characters to love in this series.

The Darkling
From The Shadow and Bone series
I don't know how Leigh Bardugo did it.. creating a villain that you find endearing and maybe-sort-of start to hope things will look up for. But she did it!

Antinous
from the Empress of Rome series
This boy! He had such a purely good heart. A character that made my heart warm whenever he was on the page.

Quintana and Froi
from Lumatere Chronicles
I loved these characters and seeing their journey throughout the story. All the things that they go through, and their resilience and growth through it made them memorable to me.

Gatsby
from The Great Gatsby
This is one of my favorite classics. There's a lot to Gatsby even though he puts up a front. I think his drive for everything being rooted in his love for someone is what makes him a bit of a romantic and a memorable one to me.

Celaena Sardothien
from The Throne of Glass series
When I think of strong female characters, Celaena is one of the first ones that I think about. I haven't finished this series but the first few books I read I really loved learning about her character and seeing how strong and resilient she is.
